The Oryx

The sophisticated conference venue, Oryx, is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and available for conferences or lavish banquets.
Venue Information
The modern interior is perfectly paired with raw wooded tables to ensure a fresh look and unique atmosphere at every banquet. All the necessary conference equipment is available and our team of professional events coordinators will ensure the venue is prepared according to your individual requirements.
With the option of three individual breakaway rooms or one large ballroom, Oryx can accommodate 20-200 guests.
This venue has a fully equipped kitchen and 2 bars that can serve guests from either side of the venue. The unique terrace and water features outside with the beautiful outdoor furniture encourage guests to spend the majority of their time there. This venue has its own public bathrooms and is disabled friendly with ramps and bathrooms to accommodate disabled guests

Venue Information
It is adjacent to the Oryx building and the name itself explains the décor theme throughout the venue. This venue can comfortably accommodate 76 guests around 4-seater tables and a further 48 guests around 8-seater high tables. It has individual lounge areas and doors that opens up to 4 private seating areas which can comfortably seat up to 10 guests each, overlooking the bushveld and starlit skies. This venue makes use of the same fully equipped kitchen and bars from Oryx. The venue can be used for events, birthdays, special dinners and conference guests.
The Island

The island is situated in the stretch of waterway in front of the lodge and brings a unique and interesting element to the venue diversity Palala has to offer.
The island is a popular venue for cocktails and canapé s or romantic intimate dinners and group picnics. The most impressive feature of
the island is the fact that it was built with the aim that the sun sets right in front of guests on the island thus it is ideal to find yourself
exactly at this spot during sunset.

The lapa has a large billiard table and televisions all around which make it ideal for watching sporting events together

Illuminated by firelight and starry skies, diners will enjoy the diverse and tasteful cuisine complemented by authentic traditional flare such as potjies, braai’s and wood-oven pizzas. This venue can be booked for a private party of up to 80 guests and when reserved, exclusivity is ensured as it boasts a well-stocked bar, separate catering facilities with kitchen and its own bathroom facilities.
Tree of Life Ballroom

Its crystal chandeliers, mirrors on the ceiling and breath-taking views of the bush make this venue the perfect backdrop to any function.
Venue Information
It is elegantly decorated in a neutral palette that allows the venue to suit possibly any colour scheme and theme you might decide on. The retractable doors open up to merge with the adjacent terrace, allowing for more creativity in terms of space and function options.
Our capacity in the Tree of Life Ballroom for a sit-down dinner is 80 guests and once the retractable doors are opened, a further 60 guests can be accommodated on the adjoining terrace. Total capacity is 160 guests.
