The wide veranda, at the front of the lodge, overlooks the waterway and with its neighbouring bar has become the social hub of Palala Boutique Game Lodge. Relaxing in the infinity pool is a welcome retreat after a hot day in the bush and for the famished, indulge in our exciting terrace menu with gourmet sandwiches, burgers or mouth-watering curries. Guests are thrilled by watching the hippos graze on the banks of the river whilst spotting various other game species throughout the day. The island brings a unique and interesting element to the diversity Palala has to offer. The island is situated in the waterway in front of the lodge and is an ideal and exclusive venue for a myriad of possibilities such as romantic picnics, wedding ceremonies, entertainment area for your wedding guests, team building events, birthday parties, and so much more. Due to the setting, it creates the perfect back-drop to breath-taking photo opportunities and birding enthusiasts particularly enjoy it for the vast bird sighting prospects.

Palala Boutique Game Lodge has a registered airstrip as well as two helipads for guests to use.

The airstrip is 1200m long and has a compacted gravel surface with 150m paved at the beginning and end of the runway.

Guests are to advise the hotel of their arrival time as the airstrip is a 5 minute drive from the hotel and provision will need to be made for the collection and drop off of guests.

The two helipads are situated at the hotel for your convenience.
